Description:
As a Data Management subject matter expert with Synergy, you will join the team supporting the mission of the Officer of the Chief Information Officer for a Federal government agency. Under the direction of the Synergy Project Manager and Program Technical Lead, the candidate will work with the customer’s Data Services team to execute projects related to their utilization the Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
Essential Functions & Duties:

Function as a subject matter expert for the Snowflake enterprise data warehouse

Define solutions, estimate costs, and present to customers for acceptance
- Gather and document stakeholder requirements for review and approval
-
Design and develop efficient ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into meaningful insights.

Implement data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipelines using AWS Cloud Services
-
Setup new Snowflake data warehouses and onboard tenants
-
Act as the lead to migrate customer on-premises hosted databases into Snowflake
-
Manage the platform across multiple environments (Development, Test, Stage, Production)
-
Perform Snowflake account management (create users, delete users, manage permissions)
-
Create and manage views in Snowflake as defined by the customer
-
Set organization context for Snowflake security, privacy, and product notifications
-
Manage and track tenant consumption to handle chargeback to customers
-
Implement enhancements and perform day-to-day O&M (incidents, tasks, changes)

Define and maintain standard operating procedures using industry best practices

Coordinate across multiple operations teams to manage the solution
Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:

Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with Oracle
- Experience with enterprise database migrations

Experience with Tableau, Snowsight, and/or PowerBI for reporting and dashboarding

Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2. DMS, RDS, Glue, DataBrew, Lamda, and Step Functions

Experience with Linux administration and scripting

Experience with Python scripting

Experience with SQL development

Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes

Understanding of data management concepts including data modeling, ETL/ELT processing, master data management, data cataloging, and data governance

Experience with DevOps processes to automate deployment using Ansible and/or GitLab

Ability to clearly communicate/present technical issues and status to customers

Ability to create project documentation (e.g., SOP) and status reports (e.g., weekly progress)

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint

Experience working in an agile environment, coordinating across multiple teams

Ability to execute in a remote work environment

Preferred Education & Experience: 6 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree.
Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $125,000.00 - $155,000.00.
