Position Summary: As the Vice President of Sales, you will be a pivotal member of our leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing the sales function of the company. You will develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, manage a team of high-performing sales professionals, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure the achievement of sales targets and the overall success of bringing new business into Swiss. Until a sales engine has been established, it may be necessary for the VP of Sales to directly engage in selling CDMO services. This role is full-time on-site office position with some travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Identify, develop, and capitalize on new, expansion, and renewal business opportunities.

Evaluate and enhance existing partnerships and sales strategies for optimal performance.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage key client relationships (especially through onboarding transition to client services) while actively seeking opportunities to establish new ones.
- Expand the company’s profile and brand reach through sales initiatives.

In concert with the VP of Marketing & Client Engagement, provide a full suite of services that distinguishes the SA brand of customer service and client relationship.

Participate with the Business Development team, reporting into this role, to initiate, develop and foster sustainable growth, and manage the sales funnel.

Strengthen internal and external relationships to increase lead generation and market share.

Track emerging markets and trends to inform business decisions and identify new markets for potential expansion.

Foster and maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture across the organization.

Propose and develop strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s position.

Contribute to shaping the company’s long-term Strategic Sales objectives, process and plans.

Provide insights on product development and promotion strategies.

Leverage experience in the CDMO industry, preferably in topical applications, to balance risk appropriately.

Aggressively pursue new business opportunities for the organization.

Create and execute manufacturing sales strategies with existing resources, both human and digital.

Execute programs to promote the business’s needs, to fill production capacity.

Implement and manage compensation plans, liaising with finance for effective tracking and accurate and precise commission payments.

Ensure successful execution of quotes through proactive intervention and support.

Ensure successful execution of Manufacturing, Quality and other agreements, and contract-related items, to streamline the process for new business.

Develop programs, with input from Operations regarding short term capacity gaps, flexibility in filling and packaging configuration, marshaling resources effectively.

Block and tackle challenges for BD Managers to ensure the successful realization of strategic and tactical goals.

Bachelor's degree preferred with 4-10 years of experience in sales within the CMO/CDMO industry (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Proven track record of success in exceeding sales goals within the CMO/CDMO industry

Extensive knowledge of the industry landscape, trends, and competitor offerings

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel

Proficient in presentation software, communication tools, and collaboration platforms

Working knowledge of digital marketing tools and business intelligence platforms

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team

Ability to establish clear goals, delegate tasks effectively, and provide performance feedback
