Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing a safe, engaging, and positive experience for children in grades P-8 within the extended care program.
- Morning program: 6:30am-7:40am; Afternoon program: 3:00pm-6:00pm on school days with extended hours on early out school days. Hours are flexible.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of social-emotional norms for children ages 4-14.
- Comfortable interacting with children, parents, and caregivers as an extended care assistant.
- Completion of Safe Environment Training (class offered by employer) as required for extended care assistants.
- Completion of required DHHS online training (employer-paid) for extended care assistants.
- Completion of DHHS background check including fingerprinting and Central Registry check, standard for extended care assistants.
- Preference for Extended Care applicants over the age of 19.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- 1500 hours of experience with organized group activities for young children OR
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development, advantageous for extended care assistants

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
