We are seeking an experienced Pasta Maker to join the team!
Job Summary:The Pasta Maker will be responsible for making fresh batches of pasta daily for the restaurant while ensuring products produced meet Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining quality standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
- Making different pastas according to Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group’s recipes and standards
- Weighing and packaging pasta as needed
- Checking product and adjusting methods to achieve high quality pasta
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Lifting and moving equipment to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Education:High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years kitchen preparation with experience in fresh pasta making
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- Open availability
- Must be able to perform in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Conversational English vocabulary
- Strong organizational and priority skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Strong team-minded approach to fellow-workers.
