Laboratory Medicine Technician II
- Performing pre‑analytical specimen preparation including stamping in, verifying ID, identification, test process and evaluating specimen quality.
- Performing computer functions including order entry, result entry, inquiries and worksheet and/or report maintenance.
- Performing waived moderately and highly complex tests under direction of supervisor, as permitted by regulatory standards.
- Performing daily QC and routine troubleshooting and maintenance of lab instruments and prepares reagents as necessary.
- Providing timely and courteous customer service for provider calling into the lab.
- Maintaining workplace in a neat and orderly fashion and maintains supply inventory to keep work area adequately stocked.
- Training new technicians and /or processing staff and interns from academic programs.
- Participating in departmental continuous improvement programs as necessary.
To qualify, you must have:
- An Associate degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field and one-year of experience in a Medical Lab Technician I position.
- The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
- The ability to understand and respond to simple written or verbal instructions. Incumbents must respond appropriately to instructions, questions or requests for information.
- MLT certified by one of the following: NCA, *ASCP, CAP (preferred)

- 2:00pm - 10:30pm
