This employee oversees and participates in the shipping, receiving, storing, and ordering of Pharmacy Medications, supplies, and inventory.
- Maintain receiving and inventory control records and prepare related reports
- serve as a lead over one or more assigned Shipping Clerk
- train and provide lead work direction and guidance to assigned staff
- Enter shipping destination into carriers' program and affix bar code to shipping container
- Maintain adequate supply of shipping containers and supplies
- Print daily shipping log for all carriers
- Responsible for receiving all shipments
- Documentation of packing slip or invoice
- Responsible for count of pieces being received
- Storage and rotation of inventory
- Maintenance of warehouse and shipping area
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and other equipment utilized in the warehouse
- Utilize space efficiently and effectively
- Take inventory and maintain accurate control systems
- Operate a computer and assigned software
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships
with others
- Assign and review the work of others
- Assist with training and motivational requirements for Lead and other Clerks
- Maintain records and prepare reports related to assigned activities
- Oversees daily operations of the Warehouse area by ensuring compliance with operational policies and procedures in regards to ACHC, OSHA, and FDA
- Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment
Requirements:
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, equipment, and terminology
- Use and terminology of requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and other documents
- Principles and practices of training and providing work direction
- Methods of storing equipment, materials, medications, and supplies
- Proper methods of loading and unloading of trucks
- Space utilization and inventory techniques
- Health and safety regulations
- Basic math
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
- Proper lifting techniques and safety practices
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years responsible warehouse experience involving the receipt, storage, and issuance of supplies and equipment, as well as the shipment of orders
Physical Demands:
- must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
