Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote literacy education, physical education, and overall child development.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, ensuring their well-being and welfare.
- Create engaging activities and learning experiences that stimulate children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation, cooperation, and respect among students.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive discipline.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's individual needs and provide regular updates on their progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and create a positive learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of special education practices are a plus.
