Performs duties as required in the orientation, education and training of staff throughout the system; coordinates, plans and implements or facilitates required annual in-service program for all hospital employees and maintains related records; demonstrates primary leadership in orientation, need-based education and Performance Improvement; supervises select clinical service programs and staff; coordinates clinical services educational activities; maintains department education records; maintains correspondence and liaison with external agencies for professional Continuing Education offerings; coordinates and monitors departmental Performance Improvement activities; supports research; supports development, customer service and community relations activities; assists Chief Nursing Officer as assigned.
Education/Training/Licensure:
· BSN from an accredited school of nursing required.
· MSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
· ANCC psych mental health certificate preferred.
· CPR certification
· HWC Certification
Experience:
· Three years of nursing experience in clinical setting required.
· Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles, Psychiatric Nursing.
· Microsoft office competency
· CPR certification
