We have immediate openings for Quality Technician at our aerospace location in Troy, Ohio. The primary focus of these roles is to conduct complex quality analysis and inspections.
Swing Shift: 11 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, Rotate EO Saturday
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Inspect items before shipment. Determine airworthiness and acceptability to specifications.
- Oversees testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure reliability of products.
- Complete FAA paperwork accurately and timely to assist in on-time delivery to customers.
- Assist customer service with customer concerns with FAA paperwork and procedures.
- Assist in new programs relative to meeting FAA/ODA requirements throughout the company.
- Work with Return Goods department on FAA issues and determining status of returned parts.
- Assist Quality with corrective action analysis, PFMEA support.
- Assist the FAA ODA group in multiple site locations
- Assist maintaining the FAA ODA manual and any other paperwork pertaining to the ODA group.
- Participate in yearly FAA audit and assist in conducting internal FAA audit.
- Support in new programs throughout the company that could impact the FAA group.
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and less than 2 years of relevant experience /OR/ 2 year degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 6 years of relevant experience /OR/ in the absence of a degree, HS diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience is required.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen
- Aerospace Quality Inspection or FAA Inspections experience preferred.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
- Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
