Primary Purpose of Position:
To perform in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner, a combination of duties mainly related to, but not limited to, the shipping and receiving of materials. The Warehouse & Distribution Manager oversees, monitors, and coordinates all aspects of the distribution of materials. The Warehouse & Distribution Manager is responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving orders across multiple warehouse locations in a timely manner and maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. The Warehouse & Distribution Manager is also responsible for accurate inventory, reducing distribution costs when possible.
Organizational Relationship:
This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and works closely with the planning, production, procurement, finance and other internal and external contacts. The Warehouse & Distribution Manager will be responsible for overseeing 4 local warehouses and managing a team of approximately 30 associates.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain a yearly department budget.
- Process all shipping and receiving orders at the plant and outside warehouses in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage warehouse employees ensuring a productive work environment.
- Maintain the distribution warehouses ensuring a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Work to reduce the distribution costs of the company.
- Create distribution reports for the Production and Planning Manager and distribute in a timely manner.
- Carries out manager’s responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Works with Human Resources to ensure completion of processes and procedures.
- Attend various management meetings as requested.
- Conduct cycle counts upon requests using SAP warehouse management.
- Coordinate all shipping and warehousing requirements for all departments.
- Work with other managers to create and maintain a clean and orderly plant.
- Responsible for managing multiple worksites and crews.
Requirements:
Education and Experience

High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply, Chain Management, Operations Management (or something similar), preferred; and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SAP knowledge is required.

Ecommerce knowledge a plus

Prior experience managing Multiple locations

Prior experience managing Supervisors and their teams

Prior experience managing Mentor/Coaching associates

Prior experience managing Implementing WIS systems

Prior experience managing Creating/Writing standardized work

Prior experience with DOT requirements (for CDL drivers); licensing and insurance to be in accordance with PennDOT regulations/requirements.
