Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient wire production processes. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Shift:
2nd Shift: 2:45 pm - 1:15 am Monday - Thursday with voluntary overtime opportunity.
Please note: Training will occur on 1st shift for approximately two (2) months before transitioning to 2nd shift!
Duties:
- Operate machines making cored welding wire
- Complete set-up and operation of machines. This includes tool changes, machine adjustments, quality checks, minor machine repairs, etc.
- Calculating and recording set-up parameters on wire mill
- Measuring with O.D. Micrometers (Metric & Standard)
- Performing preventative maintenance on mill
- Operating overhead crane
- Work and operate other pieces of equipment around the plant as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with running and set-up of production machines
- Detail oriented
- Mechanically inclined
- Strong math skills in basic algebra
- Strong problem solving skills
- Self motivated & hard worker
- Good communicator and able to work with others well
