The Peace and Spirituality Center is seeking someone who is passionate about cultivating peace through justice to provide program support in the areas of religious programming, hospitality, and administration. POSITION SUMMARY Provide hospitality and administrative support to the Peace and Spirituality Center. Responsibilities cover a range of support activities in the areas of hospitality and administrative duties.

- STARTING PAY: $22 – 27 per hour with Benefits
- HOURS: Full-Time (40 hrs./week) flexible, includes weekends and occasional evenings
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for reviewing all reservation inquiries and responding to them after consultation with the PS&C Manager. Responsible for coordinating and executing events from start to finish. This includes working with guests, groups and/or event organizers, detailed planning, execution of the event, and follow-up activities. While the standard schedule for this role is Tuesday through Saturday, including Thursday evenings, due to the nature of our events, must be able to work flexible hours, including other occasional evenings.
- Provide hospitality for our guests including working with guests and groups to plan and arrange for their events. Responsible for welcoming group attendees, retreatants, and visitors and providing support on the day of their arrival and throughout their event. This involves working with event organizers, and caterers and may on occasion include standing in for the Peace and Spirituality Manager. Due to the nature of events, must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Provide administrative support including high-level technology support for the Center and our guests including communications, reservations, social media, calendaring, and live-streaming hosted events. Responsible for maintenance of all electronic data and files as well as processing of financial information.
- Provide technology support for the Center and our guests, including high-level technology assistance, live streaming of hosted events, etc. Provide additional administrative support as needed.
Other Non-Essential Duties:
- Assist as needed in religious programming for sponsored retreats and events, including program conception, planning, execution, and follow-up.
- Provide support for social media marketing as needed, including creating and scheduling posts, engaging with the online community, promoting events and programs, and tracking social media metrics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Values: This position must be held by an individual who shares the values of peace and justice for the poor and who is committed to learning about, supporting, and respecting those in the vowed life of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace. There is no other background that can substitute for this requirement.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Hospitality Management, Spirituality, Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with faith-based organizations, non-profit or related business, including a minimum of 1 year of financial record keeping. Experience in event planning and/or catering experience is a plus. Or other background demonstrating application of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: High-level competence in computer and technology skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Word, etc.) and Social Media.
