Kenworth Northeast is an independently owned truck dealership supplying the northeast region with The World’s Best® heavy and medium duty trucks and parts. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Service Foreman to work 2nd shift at our Buffalo, NY location. The Service Foreman exercises direct supervision of Service Technicians. Assists them when necessary in diagnosis of mechanical difficulties and recommending needed repairs. Assists the Service Advisor in greeting customers, selling service labor, writing repair orders and estimates the costs of repairs within set guidelines.
Salary Range for this position is $25-35/hour depending on experience
Service Foreman Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate service technicians and repairs; controls workflow and quality of work performed.

Reviews all vehicles and equipment repair and maintenance tasks performed by technicians; inspects and conducts road tests upon completion of work, as needed, to ensure quality of repairs.

Works with the Service Manager in setting sales and gross profits objectives.

Advise Warranty Manager of all warranty in process, ensures that all necessary information pertaining to warranty and policy claims are obtained and recorded on the repair order; ensures proper recording/storage of warranty parts.

Works with customers on scheduling work in the shop; assist with opening/closing repair orders; pre-plans part requirements.

Informs Service Manager of all customer complaints so that they may be handled before the vehicle leaves the shop.

Assists in maintaining a clean shop area and making sure that special tools and shop equipment are in proper operating condition.

Promotes safe work habits; reports safety and security concerns to the Service Manager.

Participates in training to stay current of warranty and technical issues.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Service Foreman Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education degree (GED), and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 4 years’ experience in a dealership environment, which should include a proven service background and knowledge of warranties.

Must have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills.

Excellent leadership abilities and a positive, can-do attitude.

CDL preferred, but not required.

Strong work ethic and commitment to the role.

May occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to bend, squat and twist, as needed.
