Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Production Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production planning process, ensuring efficiency, and optimizing resources to meet production targets.
Job description
- Create and maintain the monthly production plan that supports the demand.
- Create Weekly/Daily Production Program (Production Schedule) according to demand while considering internal processing times and available capacity provided by Production Floor. (Dates and Quantities)
- Reviews production plan and evaluates possible constrains in the production planning.
- Reviews Planned and Firm Order requirements in SAP and converts to Production orders.
- Weekly meeting and daily communication with Production Manager to account for available capacity.
- Maintain and organize Production Program when changes on the demand are made. Support rush order requests and provide best available dates.
- Monitored and maintain material shortage reports.
- Define optimum lot sizes according to demand, Accountable for the optimization of batch sizes in production.
- Determine stock position as needed based on Demand forecast and stability of finished item.
- Communicates with buyers to define availability dates in case of material shortages.
- Promptly informs the SC teams when exceptions and problems occur during the Production planning process or during its execution.
- Able to research and analyze root causes of late deliveries in support of corrective actions needed to drive delivery improvement. Also, able to perform similar actions proactively for future demand.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity, eliminate waste, and streamline processes in production planning
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the planning team
- Maintains close communication Demand Manager, Demand Planning, Order Management, Production Manager and Buyers.
- Direct link between production floor and Demand Management functions.
- Ensures the maintenance of updated information in SAP related to MRP parameters for production and FP.
- - Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while maximizing plant efficiency
- - Coordinate with production management to prioritize work orders and allocate resources effectively- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes and minimize waste- Collaborate with supply chain management to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
- Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in Production Planning/Materials Planning and/or Inventory Control.
- Fragrance or Flavor Industry Supply Chain Experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP functions is required.
- Must have strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

Pay: $30.80 - $35.00 per hour
