Registered Nurse
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assessing patient conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Perform various medical procedures such as ostomy care, dialysis, CT scans, and suturing
- Utilize electronic health record systems (such as Epic) to document patient information and maintain accurate records
- Conduct triage assessments to determine the urgency of patient needs
- Provide specialized care for patients with developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues, and dementia
- Educate patients and their families about healthcare conditions and treatment options
- Assist in the coordination of patient discharge plans and follow-up care
Skills:
- Proficient in performing ostomy care procedures
- Experienced in dialysis procedures and monitoring patients undergoing dialysis treatment
- Knowledgeable in conducting CT scans and interpreting results
- Skilled in working with individuals with developmental disabilities and providing appropriate care
- Proficient in suturing wounds and ensuring proper wound care techniques
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation
- Experience using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic
- Competent in providing behavioral health support and managing crisis situations
- Ability to perform triage assessments to prioritize patient needs effectively
- Knowledgeable in providing specialized care for patients with dementia
