**Overview:**
We are a busy Ophthamology Clinic seeking a dedicated Clinical Manager to oversee the daily operations of our medical clinics. The ideal candidate will have a strong ophthalmology background as a COT and lasik experience as well as a bachelors or higher in office management, medical administrative support, and/or utilization management.
**Duties:**
- Manage and supervise all clinic staff to ensure efficient operations, be willing to train medical assistants to become COA's and help on the floor. Be willing to help on the floor when needed or short staffed.
- Implement and maintain office systems and procedures
- Utilize EMR systems and weekly run reports to monitor clinical staff are correctly documenting/storing patient data according to office guidelines and MIPS/Macra reporting is being performed when appropriate
- Provide medical and administrative support to healthcare providers
- Oversee utilization management to optimize resources
- Coordinate schedules for all clinics in all 3 locations to make sure we have coverage for doctors and patients
- Help monitor and scrub employee hours per company policy and get them ready for payroll (biweekly)
- Approve/deny clinical staff time off and vacations
- Hire and fire clinical staff , responsible for exit interviews, write ups, verbal warnings annual reviews and staff meetings
- Handle any patient complaints per office policy
- Recognize bottlenecks in the schedule and troubleshoot accordingly
- Work alongside practice manager to handle monthly staff meetings
- Train and run Lasik team and department
- Be point of contact for referring OD's and PCP's
- Make sure that clinical staff have answered all messages and refill requests at end of day
- Make sure that fee tickets are being filled out
- Manage medical records in compliance with regulations
- Assist in budgeting and financial management of the clinic
- Ensure smooth functioning of medical office operations
- Provide supply lists for Director of operations on monthly basis
- Approve and check all orders and invoices for clinical supplies
-Make sure back office and OR suite are always clean and fully stocked
**Experience:**
- Proven experience in medical office management
- Familiarity with EMR and medical documentation is a must
- Background in Ophthamology and medical administration is a must (Candidate should have COA or COT designation)
- Strong knowledge of utilization management practices
- Proficiency in medical records management
- Experience in budgeting and financial oversight

Pay: $65,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
