POSITION OVERVIEW
Karcher Group Incorporated (located in Chantilly, VA) is looking for a Audio Visual Programmer to join its growing team.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must have previous experience with service and installation of audio, video, and audiovisual presentation systems. This position requires a high degree of computer literacy and diagnostic skills, as well as VID CAD software familiarity. This position also requires a minimum of 2 years experience in writing code solutions and testing the functionality of applications and systems upon installation. This position requires the ability to work independently, without supervision, and the ability to make sound decisions which lead to customer satisfaction. Excellent communication and customer relation skills are required to provide technical support to customers, successfully complete the projects, and provide customer satisfaction.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with Crestron Programming software such as SMPL, SMPL+, VTPRO or similar applications. A strong understanding of audio visual systems and components such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Cisco, Vaddio, etc.
Provide daily project reports on status of projects and task lists. Travel to off site locations as part of system installation is required; moderate overnight travel also required (up to 50%).
Maintain a professional work appearance and excellent customer interaction. Commissioning systems and training clients.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong knowledge of electronics and signal flow
- 3+ years applicable work experience in the audio & video industry
- Ability to read and decipher architectural plans and schematic line drawings
- Ability to red-line drawings accurately for creation of as-built document
- Commercial audio/video experience
- Knowledge and familiarity of Cisco video conferencing equipment, Crestron, Biamp, Extron, etc.
- IP addressing knowledge or applicable IT background
- Experience in the installation and troubleshooting of audio, video and control systems
- Understanding of multi classification networks
- Infocomm CTS certification is a plus
