The ideal candidate will excel in providing meticulous material take-offs to ensure precise estimations of project quantities and costs, while clearly delineating the scope of work including inclusions, exclusions, and necessary qualifications. While primarily office-based, this role may involve occasional site visits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties:
· Thoroughly examine project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate quantity take-offs.
· Work autonomously to complete project estimates within specified deadlines and priority levels.
· Utilize Planswift software to generate precise material takeoffs.
· Create project-specific proposal letters detailing scope of work, material costs, inclusions, and exclusions.
· Consult with the sales team to address design issues and suggest value engineering alternatives.
· Interact with architects and engineers to resolve plan conflicts effectively.
· Demonstrate proficiency in lumber and sheathing grades, as well as knowledge of various construction types including residential and multi-family structures.
· Solicit quotes from multiple vendors, review proposals, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
· Enhance job knowledge through ongoing educational opportunities.
· Utilize Microsoft Excel to calculate, record, and track estimates with precision.
· Uphold the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all business interactions.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
· Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
· Experience with design software such as Mitek, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs is advantageous.
· Previous experience in field framing is beneficial.
· General knowledge of construction processes and practices is preferred.
· Strong ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents accurately.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation abilities.
· Exceptional time management skills with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
· Strong analytical skills to minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
· Ability to make critical decisions in complex situations.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 1 Year experience in Estimation in a related field
- 1 Year of Estimation Software
- 1 year of Microsoft Suite, Proficient in Excel
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Building Material or Lumber experience a plus.
