McLeod Sports Medicine has multiple openings for a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer for local secondary school coverage (no teaching duties). The position is a split position between a local middle school (70% work load) and its related high school (30% work load) within the same school district. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for daily practice and game coverage including management of injuries, organization and administration, implementation of sport performance programming, and record keeping at both the middle and high school levels. In addition, the Athletic Trainer will provide additional game coverage with minimal practice coverage to the related local high school. The Athletic Trainer will work in conjunction with another McLeod Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer at the high school. The Athletic trainer acts as a liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school district, athletes and their parents. Additionally, the Athletic Trainer will have the opportunity to provide outreach services to club, city recreation, or collegiate teams as well.
The Athletic Trainer will be part of the McLeod sports medicine team following policies and procedures and working under the direction of our medical director. Athletic Trainer must be able to work in a team setting and work in a progressive atmosphere.
Certifications/Skills Required
Minimum of a B.S. or B.A. degree, with certification from the Board of Certification (BOC) for athletic trainers. Must be eligible for licensure in the state of South Carolina. CPR and AED certification also required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $67,500.00 per year
