Position: Plant Manager
Location: Fillmore, UT
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 + Management Incentive Plan
Our Expectations: We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Plant Manager to oversee the operations of our Fillmore, UT site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing site operations in a safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient manner. Key responsibilities include:
Operational Management:
- Oversee tire collections, grading operations, processing operations, maintenance projects, and inventory of feedstock and end products.
- Foster a high-performance culture, lead by example, and maintain a strong presence on the production floor to drive results.
Workforce Management:
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and develop personnel to achieve key safety, financial, and operational goals.
- Direct resources efficiently to meet operational targets.
Financial Performance:
- Exceed financial targets by minimizing production costs and maximizing productivity.
- Utilize metrics to identify trends and make necessary adjustments.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in safety, finance, productivity, quality, inventory, and logistics.
- Ensure daily adherence to standardized work practices, including SOPs and good housekeeping checklists.
- Ensure all quality checks and fire/safety checks are completed on time.
Preventative Maintenance:
- Oversee an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure manufacturing equipment meets quality and productivity targets.
- Maintain buildings and grounds in line with company values.
Sales and Customer Relations:
- Assist the Regional Vice President with local sales, potential partnerships, and customer relations/retention activities.
Communication:
- Proactively communicate with leadership about site performance and any situations that may impact budget or operational priorities.
- Share key developments, learnings, and challenges with co-workers to facilitate best practice sharing.
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in a leadership role, with responsibility for safety, production, quality, financial, employee development, and inventory management.
- Proven track record of building high-performing teams in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with a history of strong relationships and collaboration with frontline associates.
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to lead change and deliver superior safety and business results.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes including safety, production, quality, financials, continuous improvement, team building, employee relations, customer service, purchasing, and distribution.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
