Job description
The purpose of this position is to be the go-to person for information, advice, and authority in the realm of the housekeeping team. To be able to juggle personalities, team dynamics, time constraints, standards, and complaints. To be professional with fellow employees and guests and to uphold the spirit and purpose of Trapper’s Landing. To foster cohesion within the Housekeeping team and greater Trapper’s family. To be calm and level headed under pressure, take advice and criticism with grace, and communicate correction with compassion.
Qualities and skills valuable in the Housekeeping manager position:
- Be available to work full time
- Have a working knowledge of RDP
- Have a working knowledge of RM
- Be proficient in basic phone and Microsoft computer programs
- Be able to log in and send emails
- Know each individuals strengths and weaknesses to better construct cohesive and effective teams

The Head Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning assigned areas according to Trappers Landing standards to ensure a clean environment for guest and fellow staff members.
Essential Functions:
Cleans resort areas including, but not limited to, cabins, lobby, corridors, pool area, laundry facility, house laundry, marina, exterior, etc. according to company standards and within required time frames
Replenishes supplies such as bathroom necessities, in cabin inventory, linen etc. in various areas such as cabin, main lodge and restrooms
Transports trash and waste to disposal area
Stocks, organizes, and maintains housekeeping carts and equipment throughout the resort
Always greets guests in a warm, friendly manner
Strictly adheres to safety & security policies to ensure personal safety, safety of the guest and their belongings, and company property
Use all materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid injury, waste, unnecessary damage, or accidents
Additional Duties:
House Laundry: sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing company linen and pool linen
Cleaning & organizing of the House and Laundry areas
All other duties as assigned by supervision
