Position Overview:
The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for assessing the company's information and network security posture. They will monitor and protect enterprise hardware, software, and internal networks from theft, loss, and unauthorized access. The role involves defining, creating, and maintaining enterprise information security policies and disaster recovery plans. Additionally, the analyst will develop security awareness plans and provide training to end users.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and upgrade security measures and controls.
- Protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
- Maintain data integrity and monitor security access.
- Conduct internal and external security audits.
- Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause.
- Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures.
- Identify potential weaknesses and implement measures such as firewalls and encryption.
- Define, create, implement, and maintain corporate information security policies.
- Conduct security awareness training on topics such as social engineering, phishing, and ransomware.
- Coordinate security plans with external vendors.
- Perform security assessments of network infrastructure, hosts, and applications.
- Conduct basic forensic analysis and troubleshooting of security breaches.
- Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of security breaches.
- Record, track, and document IT Security department processes according to departmental procedures.
- Generate reports for technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.
- Provide support for IT-related problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to lead teams of IT professionals in cybersecurity-related domains.
- Experience in risk, compliance, and information security policy development.
- Understanding of data loss prevention (DLP), antivirus (AV), email security, and anti-malware tools.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, computer networking, routing, and switching.
- Basic scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, and/or PHP programming languages.
- Solid understanding of the business environment, including practices, processes, and strategy.
- Awareness of cloud computing.
- Experience in meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
- Knowledge of endpoint protection technologies and techniques.
- Broad understanding of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), security information and event management (SIEM) tools, and network scanners.
- Understanding of policies, standards, and procedures related to statutory and regulatory requirements, internal and external parties, physical security systems, internet, and computer systems.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Security certifications are a plus.
