JOB SUMMARY
Handles front desk and medical records duties.
SUPERVISION: Reports to the Center Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare charts for appointments; print daily appointment list for provider, type and create new patient chart within 24 hours of office visit

Check patients in for appointments; verify insurance and demographic information at each visit, collect co-payments and patient balances
-
Check out patient after they've seen the physician; schedule return visit as needed
-
Answer phones; take and relay messages; refer callers to other departments as needed
-
Copy, scan and mail documents and forms as needed
-
Performs related work as required.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
-
Knowledge of medical practice procedures and functions preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, but not required

Previous experience with telephone systems and office equipment including copiers, adding machines, fax machines and computers Excellent communication skills.

Strong organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Word and other EMR systems

Flexibility (may require some early mornings and evenings)
