The Fiscal Manager will be primarily responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of internal financial statements, monthly P&Ls, cost reports, analysis and budgets for various programs within KenCrest. This position also participates in the strategic financial planning process of the programs for which they support. A person who thrives in this role must enjoy a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and rapid deadlines.
Some Essential Functions:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; and financial, cost and supporting analysis and schedules as required by funders.
- Prepare in-depth analysis of program revenues and expenses to confirm reasonableness and consistency; and explain material variances and extraordinary items.
- Generate and analyze reports out of multiple systems that support the data in the financial statements; investigate discrepancies and recommend/generate adjustments.
- Participate in the annual operating budget process for the programs that they support; provide updates when required.
- Analyze and advise on business operations including trends, KPIs and other established benchmarks.
- Provide analysis and supporting schedules to stimulate discussions around various issues and trends.
- Assure that information is flowing in all needed directions to promote operational efficiency.
- Keep stakeholders informed of outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field plus minimum of 5 years relevant budgeting and/or accounting experience required.
- Experience with financial applications preferred, specifically PS Financials and NVision reporting.
- Above average (advanced) skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must be able to work independently and be detailed and organized.
- Must be multi-task oriented, being able to work on several high priority items on an ongoing basis.
