OVERVIEW:
The ideal Billing Representative will interact with clients through various channels to maintain and update account information, process payments, issue statements, and correct any errors as needed. Additionally, this role requires daily outreach to clients with delinquent accounts, diligent record-keeping of payment histories, application of fees, and management of account closures and payment plan adjustments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Billing Representative, you’ll be responsible for:

Processing daily transactions via credit card payments, check, and PayPal payments
- Communicating with clients and internal staff via email, telephone, and in person
- Reviewing/ Researching accounts to identify best fee plan and system errors
- Processing refunds, voids, and credit for future fees as needed with manager approval
- Performing daily upkeep of the collection report by contacting past-due clients via telephone, email, or mail to obtain payment for their account
- Conducting daily maintenance of collection report while making outbound calls and sending emails, and invoices
- Generating statements and TNET tasks including closing/opening accounts and changing fee plans and fee methods
- Performing other job-related duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for the role of Billing Representative, here are the skills we’re looking for:
- Previous customer service experience (a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of directly job-related experience recommended)
- Previous billing/collections experience (a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of directly job-related experience recommended)
- Time-management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

- Salesforce platform or compatible CRM experience preferred
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma is required
- An Associate degree is preferred
- A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of directly experience recommended
