After-School Spanish Teacher (K-8)

Pay: $40/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to join our after-school program for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in Washington, DC schools. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching Spanish and capable of creating engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons for a diverse age group.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Spanish lessons and activities suitable for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters language learning and cultural appreciation.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups and learning styles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Experience teaching students in grades K-8.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging students of various ages and backgrounds in language learning.
Schedule:
- Part-time, Monday through Friday, during after-school hours (approximately around 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM).
