Economics Visiting Faculty Program Fall 2024
Purpose: Engage with Chinese university students through lectures by professors from the USA, offering unique perspectives and advanced teaching methods.
When: 2-3 weeks of instruction at the University’s campus in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. Instructors can schedule their in-person visit anytime between September 1, 2023, and January 5, 2024.
Instruction:
Ø On-campus: Each course consists of 15 x 90-minute lectures. Instructors may use their preferred teaching materials as long as they align with the course descriptions. The course is delivered in a lecture format with PowerPoint slides, with no homework assignments or office hours required. A final exam is required at the conclusion of the course. All instruction is conducted in English.
What is included:
Ø On-campus visit: This program covers Airfare, Chinese Visa fees. On-campus lodging at the visiting faculty guesthouse, full access to the cafeteria, and airport transportation. Limited visits to local landmarks and historical sites are available.

Qualifications:
Ø Master's degree or above in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field awarded by a Western university;
Ø English native speakers preferred, ability and experience in teaching in English required;
Ø More than 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university levels preferred;
Ø Prior teaching experience in higher education within the United States is a plus.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
