Job Title: Operator Training Systems Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities:
- OTS Development: Lead the design, development, and customization of Operator Training Systems tailored to the unique requirements and processes of our clients' industrial operations.
- Simulation Modeling: Develop and integrate dynamic process models, control system simulations, and virtual environments into the OTS Simulation platform to accurately replicate real-world process dynamics and control system behavior.
- Scenario Creation: Design and create realistic training scenarios within the OTS platform to simulate various operational conditions, abnormal situations, and emergency scenarios encountered in industrial environments.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and enhance training programs and simulation scenarios based on operator feedback, changes in process conditions, and technological advancements to ensure maximum effectiveness and relevance.
- Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting assistance to operators and training participants using the OTS platform, addressing any challenges or issues encountered during training sessions.
- Training Program Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of training programs, including curriculum development, scheduling, participant coordination, and evaluation of training effectiveness.
- Training Delivery: Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions using the OTS platform to provide operators with practical experience in operating control systems, responding to alarms, executing procedures, and troubleshooting issues.
- Performance Assessment: Develop thorough performance assessments and proficiency evaluations to measure operator competency, identify areas for improvement, and provide targeted feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation, operations training, or related fields, with a focus on utilizing Operator Training Systems for operator training.
- Proficiency in OTS platforms and simulation software, with experience in configuration, scenario development, and integration with control systems. H
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, process dynamics, and operational workflows.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively to operators and stakeholders.
- Experience in curriculum development, training program management, and performance assessment methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Certifications or training in OTS platforms or related technologies are advantageous.
