Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and creativity, along with the ability to assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations effectively.
Duties:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and execute menu items
- Oversee kitchen staff and ensure quality and consistency in food preparation
- Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide kitchen staff
