Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Hillside House. *This candidate must be a licensed / registered nurse* Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the ADON has a current and unencumbered nursing license in the state of CA. This nurse will be responsible for supporting the nursing team in the planning, implementation and coordination of resident care. In addition, the ADON is responsible for scheduling, supervision and oversight of all certified nursing assistants/nursing assistants.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the quality of patient care and certified nursing practices, making recommendations for improvement as needed to ensure the highest level of service.
- Assist the DON to ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, including state and federal nursing standards, to maintain licensure and accreditation.
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated and personalized care to residents.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning among certified nursing staff.
- Scheduling and managing CNA/NA's assignments and block schedules.
- Cover floor shifts on med cart, as needed or during a staffing crisis or emergency
- Works closely with medical records representative to ensure central supply is accurate.
- Other duties as needed to support resident care needs
