- Plan and implement programs for Club youth focusing on Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship.
- Use the Youth Program Quality Intervention (YPQI) Tool to guide program development.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor to Club youth.
- Establish relationships conducive to youth growth and development.
- Develop fun and engaging programs aligned with BGCA programs and youth interests.
- Stimulate interest through personal engagement, skilled instruction, events, contests, etc.
- Ensure program areas are clean, orderly, and safe.
- Maintain inventory of necessary supplies.
- Participate in professional development as required.
- Track daily attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Collaboration/Relationships:
- Maintain close contact with the Club Director, staff, and volunteers.
- Collaborate with community partners and schools to enhance programs.
- Participate in professional development activities.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Maintain a 20:1 member-to-staff ratio.
- Activities involve active engagement during educational and recreational programming.
- Physical requirements include walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Education/Experience Requirement:
- High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-year experience in youth development required.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Energetic, creative, and ethical individual.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Understanding of youth needs and interests.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage behavior positively.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude.
- CPR and First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to operate Club vehicles.
