About the Job:
Outpatient office in Lees Summit MO. The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day effective delivery of clinical client care in non-nursing clinical departments. Oversees and directs the care of the clients and ensures clinical staff are competent and are providing quality care. Assesses the client’s clinical needs and develops high quality treatment programs to meet the needs. Assists with strategic planning, program development, staff supervision and fiscal planning. Ensures compliance with clinical client care standards, regulatory requirements and established policies and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Outpatient office in Lees Summit MO.
Develops and implements treatment plans ensuring appropriate assessments for all clients served. Implements best practice and emerging practice protocols.
- Reviews the progress, quality, and effectiveness of all clinical programs. Continually assesses the quality of the clinical care and services; and implements changes with approval.
- Provides support and instruction as needed to direct care staff to ensure they adequately understand the treatment program and service delivery expectations to clients based on the clients’ individual treatment plans and clinical needs.
- Ensures that all clinical programming, staffing, and documentation is in accordance with regulatory agencies and standards of care. Ensures that all programming is clinically relevant and appropriate to client needs.
- Provides clinical consultation, oversight of case planning and care coordination.
- Monitors staff schedules to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are available to facilitate care in a timely manner.
- Ensures all clinical staff conduct individual, family and collateral contacts and document all contacts in the medical record.
- Monitors and reviews discharge plans and after-care for clients by the clinical staff. Ensures that they are arranged and appropriate.
- Reviews and audits charts for documentation – both quality and completeness. Reviews caseloads regularly to ensure appropriate utilization of services.
- Assists in staff supervision including hiring, orienting, performance assessment and management, motivating, training, scheduling, and coaching to meet department goals and ensure effective and efficient department operation.
- Conducts individual and group therapy sessions ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Develops and implements appropriate therapeutic activities and/or programs.
- Applies de-escalation techniques to help manage client’s emotions, behavior and participation in treatment.
- Presents appropriate client information to the treatment team; participates in team discussion and evaluation of client goals, objectives and motivations.
- Provides onsite coverage for other programs when needed and may provide training, case consultation and on call coverage during and after program hours as needed.
- Responsible for a limited caseload as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health or related field required. Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
- Three or more years’ clinical experience in a health or human service agency required.
- One or more years working directly with the facility client population required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Professional clinical license/certification issued by the appropriate licensing body as required by the state.
