General Purpose: The Laboratory Technician’s role is to insure that all products' analytical, microbiological, and organoleptic properties are in compliance with product and regulatory specifications.
This is an overnight position. Wage starts at $24.01 plus a $.70 shift differential with wage increases July 1 and after working 2080 hours.
What you will do (other duties may be assigned):
- Insure that all products' analytical, micro and organoleptic properties are in compliance with product and regulatory specifications. This includes communicating test results to Lab Supervisor and Director and other Management as deemed necessary.
- Contacting Supervisor immediately when product does not meet specifications. Recommending process adjustments to meet specifications.
- Obtain finished product line samples for micro and analytical testing
- Obtain raw and pasteurized ingredient samples for micro and analytical testing. Insure that testing equipment is calibrated and that testing methods produce results in agreement with an established standard.

- Ability to perform analytical and micro tests such that results are in agreement with a standard and/or duplicate testing per a recognized laboratory.
- Basic understanding of microbiology.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
- High school diploma
- Bachelor's degree (in a science discipline preferred)
