We are seeking a Director of Education to work closely with our teaching staff to provide new and creative ideas for all aspects of our students day. In this position you will be responsible for working to build good relationships with parents, teachers and students along with working to enroll new students and maintaining the confidence in our current families.
The Director of Education should have the following training and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Minimum of two years’ experience running a classroom
- Knowledge of licensing standards
- At least one year direct teaching experience with preschool-age children is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and managerial skills
- Energetic, dynamic, and compassionate personality
- All applicants must be able to pass fingerprinting and a background check & be able to pass health screening and a TB test.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day curriculum details of the school
- Coordinate curriculum, review class lesson plans and program planning
- Oversee, help and evaluate teachers.
- Supervise teachers, assistant teachers and other support staff. Work actively with teachers and Directors to maintain high curriculum standards.
- Plan and coordinate school events
- Establish student performance goals and objectives.
- Explain or answer school's procedural questions.
- Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods.
- Review instructional objectives and adjust accordingly.
- Develop positive relationships with parents, children, and families
- Substitute teach as needed in any age group (8 weeks to 5 year olds)
The starting salary for this position is $40,000. We offer benefits including, medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid vacation and holidays. This position requires roughly 45 hours per week.
