Seasonal Pool Cook
Job Summary
The individual in this position maintains timely and consistent food preparation and plate presentation for the Pool Kitchen and Rose Pavilion. This is a Seasonal Position and ends when the Pool Season is over.
Job Duties and Tasks
- Demonstrates superior technical skills for all cooking responsibilities for line shifts.
- Consistent execution of recipes and presentations in prep, pantry station, sauté station, and grill station.
- Identifies and solves any problems related to food quality.
- Reads and track tickets during service to determine what/when items need to be prepared.
- Uses proper portioning techniques.
- Cleans station floors, counters, tools, cutting boards, and preparation surfaces to ensure station is clean and sanitized at all times.
- Maintains effective communication with expediter and fellow employees throughout shift regarding item availability, status of working orders, and special circumstances.
- Must be a team player and accept constructive criticism.
- Must follow safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working in a professional Kitchen.
- Understands cooking vocabulary and instructions.
- Performs well in a high-stress environment.
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude, treating co-workers respectfully.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.
- Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to continually bend, reach, twist and use hands and arms.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass background check and E-Verify.
