THE ROLE:
As a Carrier Sales Manager, you will be the face of GMG EXPRESS, Inc. and the first point of contact for our customers. You will be responsible for client engagement over the phone and by email as well as adding new customers to our growing portfolio and your book of business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will develop, maintain and manage new client relationships through cold calling and identifying customer needs
- You will also research leads and build a comprehensive Book of Business
- Maintain effective communication with customers and their respective departments
- Help drive new business by prospecting, sourcing, and account penetration.
- Develop creative solutions to generate new business opportunities
- Work closely with carrier management and operations to ensure efficiency, affordability and flexibility for customers
- Other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer facing Logistics sales role required
- Experience in transportation and logistics
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to effectively negotiate and cold call
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills
- Working knowledge of computer programs and ability to navigate various sites
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recognize issues and identify effective resolutions
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize duties
- Strong inter-personal, self-motivational, and negotiation skills
- A customer-oriented mindset and active commitment to customer retention
- Personal ownership and accountability
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
