We are looking for a skilled (contract) Shipping and Receiving Materials Specialist to join the team. In this position you will play a vital role in both shipping and delivering materials, unloading inbound shipments, stocking products, and other duties as deemed necessary. JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:
Job Summary: To perform duties involved in shipping/receiving of international and domestic shipments/, order. Scheduling, Tracking, Transacting, Storing, and
moving of equipment, materials and supplies, for Logistics and Manufacturing in support of Lean Manufacturing. Familiar with UPS, FEDEX and outside freight
companies.
Tools & Equipment Used: PC, hand truck, dolly, forklift, power / hand tools, etc.
Primary Job Duties (essential):
Perform daily receipts and process accordingly; Validate PO and material for accuracy; Work with purchasing group to resolve any PO discrepancies; Process material to proper locations: Stock, Shortage, QC; Perform Material Movement (Stock room); Stocking material to assigned stock location; Creating new stock locations when needed / Systemic update of material location; Pull and transact material per approved request ( NC, Kit pull, Pink, ECO, Kits to production floor); Assist with daily cycle count; Process material on hand to shortages; Perform Shipping Transactions for NSO, O-Type, RMA & Will Call; Work with order entry and planning for weekly outbound shipping schedule; Coordinate with International compliance for Harmonizing codes (International shipments); Coordinate with planning for weekly domestic shipment schedule; Coordinate with Freight suppliers (schedule pickup, quotes, delivery); Familiar with International document requirements ( EEI, SLI, CI, Pack Slip); Scan and share International shipping docs with recipient if applicable. (internal and external);Perform and maintain documents. (Documents to be available for 7 years); Keep and file accurate receipt documents for audits; Keep and file accurate shipping documents for audit; Perform weekly reports (to be identified by manager)
Secondary Job Duties (non-essential):
May require assisting back log of other groups within the materials organization. (purchasing/ planning); May participate in delivery of material and supplies to groups in other internal organizations; Be open to perform other related duties as assigned and needed; May require participation in monthly, quarterly and annual process audit with internal and external auditors.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma, Four years 'experience in directly related shipping, material handling/stores operations in the capital equipment/electronics industry. Strong
communication skills, advanced Excel spreadsheet capabilities, strong organizational skills. Materials database management experience a must.
Expandable software a plus.
Prior experience working with Hand trucks, dollies, forklift, etc. is advantageous.
