Job Overview:
We are seeking a General Manager to join our team at Nella Kitchen & Bar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, hospitality and customer service. As a General Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications:
· Knowledge of FOH operations- food, beverage, inventory, ordering, supervision, etc
· Solid full-service, high volume restaurant background
· Knowledge of CA labor laws.
· Ability to support FOH and BOH staff, coordinate daily restaurant operations
· Desire for improvement, advancement, and development
· Ability to work under pressure, in stressful situations
· Elevate and uphold personal standard and work ethics, ie personal appearance, hygiene, punctuality, leadership, etc
· Candidates for this position should have a strong sense of hospitality, be detail-oriented and have the ability to work as a TEAM
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays
- Food and Safety training (OSHA preferred)
- Excellent management, delegation, and presentation skills
Operations Management
- Manage, lead and mentor Supervisors and Staff
- Ensure service is maintained at the utmost of quality levels through proper execution of the sequence of service
- Maintain overall vision Business and marketing objectives
- Represent the company in investigating, answering, and settling grievances
- Update and track daily reports
- Monitor sales forecasts and profitability reports
- Keep owners and CFO informed of sales and key issues
- Increasing sales through marketing, networking, and incentives for staff to raise guest check average.
- Maintains budgeted revenues, cost of sales (COGS), labor, and supplies
- Review monthly profit and loss statement and acts on all variances
Staffing and Team Development
- Analyze staffing requirements, scheduling, and assess opportunities for future growth
- Interview, screen, and recruit job applicants
- Coach, train and develop hourly staff
- Responsible for Team performance morale, productivity.
- Manage regular review of performance for Hourly staff.
