Duties:
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of banquet events at a hotel or catering venue
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations
- Ensure proper food and beverage service during events, including coffee breaks and cocktail hours
- Supervise banquet staff, including servers and bartenders, to ensure efficient and professional service
- Assist with food production and plating as needed
- Communicate with event organizers to ensure their needs and expectations are met
- Handle any guest concerns or issues that arise during events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
Requirements:
- Previous experience in banquet or catering operations is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Bartending experience is a plus
