Position Summary: GIS Analyst 2
Aquawolf, LLC is looking for a motivated individual with intermediate-to-advanced experience in geographic information systems (GIS). This role will be responsible for developing mapping and data products at the direction of the Underground Design Manager, developing GIS standards and templates, executing Aquawolf’s QA/QC program, and coordinating with the various design teams within Aquawolf and its clients. This role will also be responsible for participating in on-going growth and development of design practices and data management. This role will report to the San Diego, CA or Denver, CO office.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Essential in the development of maps and geospatial data supporting Aquawolf’s overhead and underground utility projects.
- Develop databases and maps to support field data collection and communication.
- Closely coordinate with engineers, designers and managers in other Aquawolf service lines to provide cross-functional support.
Other Responsibilities & Duties
- Occasional travel may be required to support design services. Travel may include air travel out of state.
- A wide range of creativity and latitude is expected.
Job Competencies & Success Factors
- Utility or civil project experience.
- Strong GIS experience across multiple platforms.
- Prior experience deploying GIS data for field consumption and data collection.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D for processing linework, points and polygons in geographic coordinates.
- Strong communications skills.
- Strong document and project control habits.
Required Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMAP, QGIS, etc.).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform all of the essential functions of this position.
Desired Job Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited institution (project experience can substitute for degree)
- Specific experience in GIS data development
- Familiar with AutoCAD/Civil3D
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
