Position Overview:
THIS ROLE IS A REMOTE (WORK-FROM-HOME) POSITION !!!!!
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) position is responsible for the Order Management of Retailer orders. In addition, the CSR assists in providing primary after sale support by reviewing orders from Retailers; confirm products are ordered in the correct quantities; confirm pricing and payment terms are reflected in the order; works with the Retailer and credit departments or any special payment teams associated with the Retailer; ensures products are shipped as expected; and has a fundamental understanding of the sales process as well as Alliances’ enterprise software packages (GenWeb, SharePoint, etc.). This position interfaces with clients, customers, various members of the sales operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with placement of orders by entering faxed/emailed orders manually and/or release from EDI system and transmit to vendor.
- Confirm validity of Purchase Order (i.e. pricing/promotion).
- If the Purchase Order is requesting incorrect pricing/promotions, contact the Sales Operations team for deals, contracts, confirmation of pricing; advise retailer of corrections (if necessary).
- Track order deliveries and advise customer of any changes.
- Input and/or verify sales data in GenWeb to ensure brokerage is applied accurately.
- Maintain accurate Vendor files in an effort to reduce retail audits.
- Receive and respond to client/customer inquiries and provide appropriate solutions.
- Supports administrative activities by maintaining communication flow and serving as a liaison between Retailers and Manufacturers.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications, Experience, and Interests:

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ customer service, sales support, office administrative and data entry experience, preferably with a food & beverage broker.
- Minimum of three (3) Years' of GenWeb experience, preferred.
- Must be computer literate with a high degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database management, client/customer portals, etc.
- Ability to read and understand promotional planners.
- Must possess excellent organization skills and have a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to operate a calculator, computer, printer, fax machine, telephone and copy machine.
- Ability to make presentations coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be attentive to detail and accurate.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with peers, sales group and management teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
