Company Overview:
We are the US division of a prestigious Swiss manufacturing company, comprising a dedicated team of 40 professionals committed to provide precise, reliable and comprehensive solutions for quality control. As we continue to expand our operations in the US market, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Accounting and Tax
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Facilitate income tax preparation and filing.
- Responsible for sales tax compliance and filings.
2. Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Develop and manage organizational budgets in collaboration with department heads.
- Prepare KPI reports focusing on margin analysis and variance analysis.
- Generate ad hoc reports analyzing sales performance across various dimensions.
- Communicate financial performance to the CFO at our headquarters.
3. Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Oversee payroll processing and related tasks.
- Manage company insurance policies and administer the 401(k) plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting practices.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data effectively.
