Alyn Inc. is seeking an experienced candidate to serve as a Vulnerability System Back-End Support Administrator. The successful candidate is well-versed in vulnerability scanning technologies, conducting vulnerability assessments in large and diverse enterprise environments against both on-prem and cloud endpoints, servers and databases. The Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the scanning environment which consists of Redhat Linux servers and a Tenable Security Center infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as administrator to the Redhat Linux scanning infrastructure.
· Craft supporting scripts in PERL or Python and API scripting to enhance efficiency of Scanning operations.
· Support Vulnerability Analysts with troubleshooting system and network issues that occur during active scanning.
· Contribute to the management and maintenance of the Security Center and Nessus Environment.
· Review, create, and document standard operating procedures, recommendations, project specific documents and resource guides as needed.
Education:
· BA/BS or equivalent
· Must be DoD 8570.1 IAT level II, or higher, compliant (minimum of CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, or SSCP)
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ years of strong network security and vulnerability assessment experience
· Must be a US Citizen
· Experience with a variety of assessment tools including Tenable, Nessus Scanner, NMAP, DBProtect, and AppDetective Pro
· 5+ years RedHat Linux Administration
· Python, PERL, and API Scripting experience
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
· Excellent writing and communication skills
