Duties:
- Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and make arrests when necessary
- Write detailed reports documenting incidents and actions taken
- Testify in court proceedings as a witness
- Provide traffic control and enforce traffic laws
- Mediate disputes and resolve conflicts between individuals
- Conduct community outreach programs to educate the public on crime prevention
Experience:
-MUST CURRENTLY BE A LICENSED PEACE OFFICER
Skills:
- Proficient in surveillance techniques and equipment
- Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills
- Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail
- Possess a valid certificate from a police academy or training program
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques
- First aid certification is desirable
- Experience in animal handling or care is a plus
- Ability to drive and operate police vehicles safely
Licenses:
-Licensed by TCOLE
-Current and up to date on training
