Leading Private Energy Group seeking Financial Associate to work on complex energy deals both JVs, partnerships, and acquisitions.

O.G. Energy has two business units:
· O.G. Oil & Gas, which holds its upstream exploration and production interests, both through direct participations, like its joint venture with Beach Energy (ASX: BPT) related to the Victorian Otway gas assets offshore Australia and its joint venture with Oxy and other partners in the K2 and Warrior deep-water fields in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, as well as through strategic shareholdings in New Zealand Oil & Gas (NZX:NZO) and Cue Energy Resources Ltd. (ASX: CUE).
· Omni Offshore Terminals (Omni), a global leader in the provision of offshore infrastructure and facilities to the oil and gas industry. Through Omni, O.G. Energy has designed, engineered, constructed, and operated floating offshore oil and gas storage and processing solutions globally for nearly 30 years.
The role offers long-term professional growth and the opportunity to join an actively growing company in the industry. This person will sit on a small team and have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the company and interact directly with the CEO and senior management team, covering global assets located in Australasia and the U.S.
Skills required:
- Bachelor’s degree required 2+ years of experience at a top-tier investment bank, investment management firm, or strategic consulting firm
- Detail oriented with advanced excel and financial modelling skills
- Interest in business strategy and corporate development
- High level of intellectual curiosity, strong initiative and the ability / desire to own projects and processes
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills
Responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining advanced financial models to assist executive management in analysing M&A opportunities
- Preparing presentations, analyses and recommendations for senior management
- Working with internal partners and external advisors (e.g., banks, accountants, consultants and lawyers)
- Assist in market analysis and business development in both existing markets and potential new sectors
- Conduct due diligence on potential acquisition
- Quarterly reporting and analysis of business results
