- Assess the accomplishment of students on established timetable and provide written and oral progress report to parents, administrators, and selected staff; administer tests and assessments
- Plan curriculum and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to meet individual needs of students within school requirements based on the educational, physical, and emotional development levels of students
- Confer with parents, administrators, specialists, mental health staff, and appropriate staff to develop educational programs for students
- Create learning materials geared to students’ abilities and interests
- Motivate students, provide consistent reinforcement of learning skills and program continuous assessment and feedback to students for all learning activities
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district, and administrative regulations
- Use appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes
