POSITION PURPOSE:
The Evening Park Quality team member is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the Bonnet Springs Park public and administrative spaces.
ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Vacuums, dusts and cleans all public and administrative spaces, including but not limited to floors, carpets, restrooms, windows, doors and elevators
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
- Completes daily checklists as directed
- Maintains work areas in a neat and efficient manner, assuring equipment and tools are properly stored after each project is completed
- Maintains park cleanliness by picking up trash and emptying receptacles in all park locations
- Ensure elevator areas are free of debris
- Report maintenance issues
- Reads and comprehends safety data sheets for all chemicals and uses them according to directions
- Uses proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed
- Operates trash compactor
- Communicates with all park guests and employees in a professional and courteous manner
- Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- Assists with special events as needed
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- Prior experience with handling of cleaning chemicals
- Previous housekeeping or general cleaning experience
- Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays as needed
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Enthusiastic and positive energy
- Attention to detail and ability to exceed quality standards
- Multi-tasking ability
Requirements
- Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable through the park’s insurance carrier
- Ability to walk around in a 168-acre park.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment for this position is mixed between outdoor in heat, though cold weather work may be necessary, and cleaning inside office and operational facilities. The candidate must be able to adapt to either condition very quickly as transitioning from indoor to outdoor could occur multiple times per day.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include but are not limited to being able to lift up to 30 pounds, able to bend, stretch and twist, kneel, be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and climb stairs. They must be able to work with chemicals according to the directions and be able to work outside in high temperatures as needed. Additionally, employee must possess dexterity to operate standard cleaning equipment and drive a golf cart. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with
