Job Summary
The Assistant Controller is responsible for select areas of accounting and financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Reconciles bank accounts and credit cards
· Prepares and analyses monthly financial results
· Prepares and reviews journal entries, monthly reconciliations for general ledger balances and other recurring reports
· Analyses and ensures accuracy of monthly inventory accounts
· Prepares/submits sales and use tax filings
· Manages process for fixed asset additions and retirements
· Manages annual and monthly budget/actual review process
· Maintain and improve internal controls to protect Company assets
· Helps ensure adherence to the Company’s accounting and financial policies and procedures
· Assist operation divisions on all accounting related questions and issues
· Other duties as assigned
