Job Summary: The SEO Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive SEO strategy to drive organic growth, enhance search engine visibility, and improve user experience across our e-commerce platform. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical knowledge, analytical skills, and a proven track record of successful SEO campaigns in the e-commerce sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust SEO strategy aligned with business goals to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
- Conduct thorough site audits to identify and resolve technical SEO issues, ensuring optimal site performance and user experience.
- Lead keyword research, on-page optimization, and content strategy to target relevant search terms and enhance content visibility.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including content, marketing, design, and development to ensure SEO best practices are integrated across all digital initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging SEO technologies to keep our strategies innovative and competitive.
- Manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to drive team success.
- Develop and execute link-building strategies to improve domain authority and search engine rankings.
- Oversee the creation of SEO-friendly content, including blogs, product descriptions, and other marketing materials.
- Analyze competitors' SEO strategies to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage the SEO budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within an e-commerce environment.
- Proven track record of successful SEO campaigns that have significantly increased organic traffic and search rankings.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and current SEO best practices.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team of SEO professionals.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website content management systems (CMS).
- Familiarity with PPC, social media, and other digital marketing strategies is a plus.
