Job Summary:
The Operations Associate will act as a propeller to keep the Company moving forward, providing support and connecting the Company, improving the driver and broker experience, setting us up well for the next day. Striving to provide excellent customer service, positive interactions, clear concise messaging, and a knowledge base to resolve questions that arise using good judgment and reasoning and logging activities. Communicate effectively with other departments notifying them of any potential delays, issues, or emergencies as needed. Reports overall to the Operations Manager.Responsibilities:
- Performing administrative tasks, assisting other Company departments as needed, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Answering and making phone calls dealing with operational topics such as routing, parking, HOS (Hours of Service), ASR, and other dispatch related items. As well as providing general support for other departments: Maintenance and Safety and making the decision of when to escalate a concern to the Manager of that Department.
- Gather data from different sources and analyze it to help the Company make informed decisions.
- Assisting drivers with their needs.
- Helping with any breakdowns.
- Setting up any unfinished locations.
- Assist with Ready to Bills
- Make sure all OTR loads made it to the yard for departing local trucks.
- Do a final check before leaving and email first shift Driver Manager and Customer Service Representatives of late drivers.
- Send brokers tracking links for the following morning/day.
- Respond to brokers emails and answer their phone call inquiries.
- Be a friendly voice for drivers to reach when they need someone to listen and connect to.
- Help new drivers get acclimated and more comfortable with driving and procedures when they have questions in the afternoon or evening.
- Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of transportation employees.
- Produces a nightly bulletin consisting of reminders for check calls, making sure your BOL’s have signatures, reminding drivers to scan their documents, and to be cautious of weather-related items.
- Prepares reports for internal use.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent listening skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
· Able to read a map and proficient in Geography.
· Proficient in McLeod, and Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.
· Thorough understanding of the transportation industry and experience with a fleet required.
· Ability to classify any late deliveries and advise customer service and know where your drivers are at.
· Strong logistical, analytical, problem-solving skills and the ability to be proactive.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to assist drivers with their needs.
· Ability to be self-motivated and adaptable.
· Good time management skills.
· Team oriented and joint-effort driven.
· Helping guide individuals.
· Ability to give provide clear and concise messaging.

· Ability to find data entry satisfying and the skill of entering data with a high level of accuracy.
· Knowledge of spreadsheets and Google docs as well as computer and technological proficiency.
· Experience with McLeod software a plus.
· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Education and Experience:
· Previous experience as a CDL-A driver is a plus.
Job-related location requirement:
- Candidates must be within a 25-mile radius.
Work Location: In-person during 2nd shift office hours 3 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Pay: $51,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
